• 1 person killed in crash on Route 8 in Shaler Township

    SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - An O'Hara man died Sunday morning in a motor vehicle accident on Route 8 near the McDonald's in Shaler, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

    Gianluca Cresta, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene by Hampton EMS at 2:35 a.m. The cause of death hasn't been determined.

    The accident occurred at 2:13 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving rolled over. A female passenger was taken to an area hospital but no information was available on her condition.

    No further information was available on the accident.
