10 escape before flames destroy Fayette Co. mobile home

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Ten people were able to safely escape a mobile home fire early Tuesday morning in Fayette County.

According to firefighters, flames ripped through and destroyed the mobile home on Elm Street in South Union Township.

Four adults, two teenagers and four children were inside the trailer at the time of the blaze. All of them were able to safely escape.

One of the people who lived in the mobile home told Channel 11 News that they believe a nearby shed caught fire and the flames spread to their trailer.

The American Red Cross is assisting the victims with food, clothing and shelter.
