2 armed robberies reported within an hour in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating two armed robberies in the city Tuesday, though it’s unclear if they’re related.

Authorities told Channel 11's Gordon Loesch that the First National Bank on Noblestown Road in Oakwood was robbed around 10:45 a.m.

The Sultan Bey store on Centre Avenue in Oakland was robbed a short time later, around 11:30 a.m., Allegheny County dispatchers said.

No injuries were reported during either incident, officials said. Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact police.
