• 2 dogs shot in Sheraden home

PITTSBURGH - Police are working to find out who broke into a Sheraden house, shot two dogs and stole a safe.

The incident happened on Bergman Street the night before Easter.

A family arrived home to find their backdoor kicked in and blood on the living room floor.

A 3-year-old mix breed died in the shooting.  A 6-year-old dog shot three times was still alive and rushed to the vet.

“To shoot and kill a dog, that’s horrible.  I hope they catch whoever did this and punish them,” said concerned neighbor Chuck Palmer.

Neighbors said their street is normally quiet and safe.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact police.
