• 2 suspects wanted in connection with burglary of Ross Twp. pastor's home arrested

BUTLER COUNTY - Police in Butler Township arrested two suspects in connection with a Christmas Eve burglary at a pastor’s house in Ross Township.

According to police, Jessica Hirth, the pastor’s niece, and her boyfriend, Jeremiah Kelly, were wanted on charges that they broke into the Rev. Michael Guthrie’s home and took a gun, laptops, jewelry and other items.

Officials said the couple will not be arraigned or brought to Ross Township until sometime next week.

Guthrie’s home was broken into on Christmas Eve, while he was holding holiday services, according to police.

Police said some of the stolen items belonged to Guthrie’s son, a pilot, who died during a training exercise two years ago.

Teresa Lunz, Kelly’s mother, has also been arrested in this case. Police said she was picked up at her house on Friday.

Police think she helped the couple escape after the burglary.
