1 adult, 2 teens arrested in connection with Wilkinsburg man's shooting death

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — Pittsburgh police said they arrested one adult and two teenagers in connection with a deadly shooting in Wilkinsburg Tuesday night.

The medical examiner identified the victim as Anthony Dawson, of Wilkinsburg.

Police and homicide detectives said they were called to South Avenue around 8:30 p.m. where Dawson was found shot to death inside of a third-floor apartment.

Terrance Chatman, 20, of North Braddock, Jaykwaan Pinckney, 17, of Wilkinsburg and Christopher Williams, 17, of Wilkinsburg are all facing homicide, robbery, burglary and conspiracy charges.

Investigators said Pinckney and Williams are charged as adults.

Family members said Dawson was a loving father who was never in trouble with the law.

"He graduated from school. He was never in jail, never got into any trouble," said one family member.

Chatman, Pinckney and Williams remain in the Allegheny County Jail.
