5 arrested on drug charges in Ambridge; $10,000 worth of heroin confiscated

AMBRIDGE, Pa. — Five people were arrested on drug charges in Ambridge Wednesday.

"We've been watching these folks since May, making undercover buys, and we finally got them," said Ambridge Police Chief Jim Mann.

Police told Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz that a waitress at a restaurant used her smoke breaks to sell to clients. Police said they even found syringes on her.

"She was doing a lot more in the parking lot that just smoking," said Mann.

Police said they confiscated 8 bricks of heroin with a street value of more than $10,000.

"If you're coming to Ambridge to sell drugs, we're going to be looking for you and will lock you up," said Mann.
