Abandoned house fire spreads to nearby homes in Beltzhoover

BELTZHOOVER, Pa. — Several Beltzhoover residents were evacuated Wednesday morning as firefighters worked to prevent a vacant house fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The two-alarm fire was reported at a home on Gearing Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday

Firefighters said the flames spread, but they had them under control in about an hour.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

The American Red Cross confirmed they’re assisting one adult and three children with food, clothing and shelter.
