Man dies after being shot in leg in Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A man was rushed to an area hospital after being shot in the leg overnight in Penn Hills, according to police.

Investigators said they were called around 11:00 p.m. to the 100 block of Evaline Street for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found the 42-year-old victim shot in the leg.

Detectives said the victim was driving on Bon Air Drive near Frankstown Road when his red Chevrolet Malibu was shot. The driver lost control and went off the road before coming to a stop.

According to authorities, the victim was pronounced dead around 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the hospital. He was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as Chasae Swindle.

Police said they are still investigating.
