Woman arrested for allegedly stabbing her neighbor in Fineview

PITTSBURGH — A woman has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her neighbor in Pittsburgh’s Fineview neighborhood on Friday.

According to Pittsburgh police, first responders were called to the 1700 block of Letsche Street just before 1 p.m. for reports of a woman stabbed.

Once on scene, officers spoke with the victim, who had a long laceration on the side and back of her neck and a smaller wound to the back of her head.

Police said the victim told them she was involved in a verbal altercation with her neighbor and that her neighbor stabbed her during a scuffle. A knife was recovered at the scene.

Police spoke with the suspect, Shamerea Wilson, 29. She suffered minor injuries during the incident. Medics evaluated the victim on scene, who refused to be taken to the hospital.

Wilson is charged with one count of aggravated assault and is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
