Allentown ‘Burger King Baby' searching for birth mother on Facebook

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — It was nearly three decades ago when she was abandoned in an Allentown Burger King’s bathroom, and now 27-year-old Katheryn Deprill is using social media to help find her birth mother.

Deprill, who is now married with three boys began her mission with a simple Facebook post.

<div id="fb-root"></div> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200701234691704&amp;set=a.1179024054212.22405.1786476974&amp;type=1" data-width="375"><div class="fb-xfbml-parse-ignore"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200701234691704&amp;set=a.1179024054212.22405.1786476974&amp;type=1">Post</a> by <a href="https://www.facebook.com/katheryn.deprill">Katheryn Deprill</a>.</div></div>
As of Thursday morning, that post had nearly 14,000 shares.

Deprill said she’s not mad at her birth mother, telling the Allentown Morning Call, "I would like to say thank you to her, that she did not throw me away.”
