Amber Alert for 5-month-old canceled; Child found safe

PITTSBURGH — An Amber Alert for a 5-month-old child that the Pennsylvania State Police issued early Saturday morning has been canceled.

The child abduction alert was issued by the PSP on behalf of the Pittsburgh Police Department.

Authorities located young Kiyan McBryde safe and seemingly unharmed before 8 a.m. Saturday.

The original alert said that the child was inside a vehicle with his mother in Pittsburgh at midnight on May 11. At that time, a man by the name of Resheem Gibson allegedly assaulted Kiyan's mother while an unidentified woman removed the child from the vehicle.

Police did not provide any additional details as to how or where Kiyan was found.
