    Updated:

IRWIN, Pa. - Members of the military and their families were honored in Irwin Saturday to mark Armed Forces Day.

A ceremony at Irwin Park Amphitheater celebrated members of all branches of the military and unveiled the Rotary Club of Norwin Military Banner Program. The program honors local veterans through the creation of banners that are put on display in the community.

David Haynes’ daughter is recognized on one of the banners.

"Everything was just put together fantastic. The banners in Irwin give it the old-time feel where you drive through and you get to see everybody that served. It’s fantastic,” said Haynes.
