Report of attempted luring in Murrysville a 'misunderstanding,' police say

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — Police in Murrysville said a report of a possible attempted child luring on Friday afternoon was a "misunderstanding."

Officers said A 13-year-old Franklin Regional School District student had just been dropped off at his school bus stop along Elizabeth Court when a dark-colored Taurus began following him.

The teen said the man asked him if he needed a ride, and the boy said no and kept walking, Sgt. Tom Kusinsky said.

Murrysville police said after talking to the driver, no criminal act was committed. The child was not aware that the man was his neighbor and police said he meant no harm.
