• Black ice creates driving hazards throughout Pittsburgh


    PITTSBURGH - Icy roads created dangerous driving conditions for people throughout the Channel 11 viewing area overnight Friday.

    Slick roadways led to accidents in several areas.

    In White Oak, a car went off ice-covered McKee Road and landed in a creek. The driver was taken to an area hospital.

    Black ice also caused an accident that injured three people in Baldwin. The accident happened on River Road, near the Glenwood Bridge.

    Icy conditions were also reported in Plum Borough and Penn Hills.
