NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A boil-water alert was lifted Saturday for residents in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties who had been affected by a water main break in North Huntingdon Township since Tuesday.
Repairs to a 30-inch transmission line along Route 993 were completed Thursday, but the boil-water alert was issued as a precaution until bacteriological test samples were completed. The tests have since been completed and returned a negative result.
Customers are able to resume normal water usage.
