• Boy injured during pizza shop robbery


    PITTSBURGH - A young boy was hurt Friday night while trying to stop the men who robbed a pizza shop in the North Side.

    The robbery occurred around 9 p.m. at Pizza Pescara on Brighton Road.

    According to the owner, her son, 8, was punched by one of the armed robbers as he tried to grab the safe being stolen.

    The boy was OK after being checked out by paramedics.
