Boy says student at his school has made serious threats with drawings

LEECHBURG, Pa. — A boy and his mom spoke with Channel 11 on Wednesday about a student they say has been making threats at a local school.

"He drew my friend and me as stick figures with our names above them and a gun pointed at our heads," said the boy.

The boy in the Leechburg School District told Channel 11 reporter Pamela Osborne that several other kids have also been targeted in a series of threats made by one student.

To protect the student's identity, Channel 11 isn't saying how old the victim is or what grade he is in.

The boy said one week after the drawings, the same student brought a toy gun to school.

"He was showing it to people and saying, 'You're dead,'" the boy said.

The boy's mom said her son reported the drawings to a librarian and his recess was taken away.

"For tattling, you get reprimanded," she said.

The school's principal told Channel 11 the incidents were addressed by school leaders, and they took it very seriously.  He was not at liberty to discuss how the student was disciplined.
