Funeral held for Cranberry firefighter brothers who died within hours of each other

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Family, friends and community members gathered Tuesday to remember the lives of two brothers who were former firefighters and died within hours of each other.

Mark Nanna, 56, retired chief with the Cranberry Township Fire Department, died from complications from an infection. After hearing the news, the family says his older brother, Lee Nanna, 69, had a heart attack and died just hours later.

Route 19 shut down as the two brothers were laid to rest. Fire companies from around the area attended to remember the brothers, who dedicated their lives to the fire service.

Ladder trucks held a huge American flag at the cemetery, as hundreds of people celebrated their lives.
