• Cause of vacant Lawrence Co. house fire under investigation

    Updated:

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The fire marshal is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a vacant Lawrence County home Wednesday morning.

The blaze started about 12:30 a.m. at a home on 12th Street in Wayne Township.

Firefighters faced problems extinguishing the flames because some hydrants weren’t working. Instead, crews used tankers.

The house has been empty for about three months.
