FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. — Charges have been dropped against a Fayette County man charged in the shooting of his 12-year-old brother.
David Brooks faced several charges including assault, but at a hearing Tuesday morning the charges were withdrawn.
Brooks said he was taking a gun out of his pocket in Uniontown last September when it fired and hit his brother Timothy.
The boy broke his hand and a bullet struck his stomach.
Brooks is expected to be released Tuesday afternoon.
