Fire damages 2 businesses at Rossyln Farms industrial park

ROSSYLN FARMS, Pa. — A fire at a Rossyln Farm industrial park damaged two business trailers Tuesday morning.

When firefighters first arrived at the scene on  Arch Street around 7 a.m., officials said they feared the worst. However crews were able to extinguish the flames quickly.

The fire did destroy one business’s trailer and damaged another.

David Lister said he was on his way to work when he learned about the blaze. He said his office and supplies were destroyed.

“I think about all the people that are going to be inconvenienced. I have about 50 people working for me. They are going to be greatly influenced,” Lister said.

All of Lister’s paperwork and thousands of dollars worth of office equipment were destroyed, Lister said, however he does have backup files of his work.

“Every business should back up files. You know we have our stored on a file in Colorado and in England,” Lister said.

No injuries were reported.

“The fire was mainly contained to the two trailers, and some pallets of phone books. If it really would have got into the phone books this would really have been a nightmare,” Crafton Fire Dept. Capt. Greg Laepple said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
