East Hills officer pinned between 2 cars during traffic stop turned chase

EAST HILLS, Pa. — An East Hills police officer is recovering Thursday after investigators said he was pinned between two cars during a traffic stop.

The incident happened Wednesday night on East Hills Drive, police said.

Police said the man the officer pulled over got out of his car and attempted to run away. When the officer got out of his patrol car to chase the man, the man's car drifted backward and pinned the officer's legs between the two vehicles.

The injured officer was taken to a nearby hospital. Officials said he was not seriously hurt.

The man was later arrested on drug charges.
