• 80-year-old twin sisters escape, man rescued from Beaver Co. house fire

    DARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Firefighters rescued a 60-year-old man after his 80-year-old twin sisters escaped from a house fire Tuesday afternoon in Darlington Township.

    According to Beaver County 911 dispatchers, the blaze was reported at a house on Enon Road about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

    Authorities said the sisters managed to escape the blaze basically unharmed, but their brother was overcome by smoke and needed to be rescued.

    Firefighters said they had a difficult time removing the man, who weighs about 450 pounds, from the home. His condition has not been released.

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
