Candlelight vigil held in honor of 2 teens killed in Fayette Co. crash

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Family and friends gathered Monday night to remember two teenage boys killed in a suspected drag racing accident last week in Fayette County.

Nearly 100 people gathered on Collins Avenue in Uniontown to remember 17-year-old De’Andre Jones and 16-year-old Trevor McFadden.

The two teens were killed and two other teenagers were seriously hurt in the accident last Wednesday in South Union Township.

Police said the group of boys was drag racing along Walnut Hill Road near Route 119 when they lost control.

Those who knew the victims said they were vibrant and loving.

“He was fun, active, friendly…, he knew everybody. He loved everybody,” Jones’ cousin Nikkala Fitzgerald said.

Investigators said they have found the driver of the other car involved, but so far no charges have been filed.
