Father, daughter escape burning Slippery Rock Township home

SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — A family was able to safely escape a house fire in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, early Monday morning.

The blaze was reported at 3 a.m. along Route 108.

Channel 11 News learned a father and daughter were awakened by smoke alarms. Both were able to escape, but the home burned to the ground.

The victims are staying with relatives.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
