Fayette Co. man arrested in child pornography investigation

CONNELLSVILE, Pa. — Agents from the attorney general's child predator unit along with the Pennsylvania State Police arrested a Fayette County man Friday accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane identified the defendant as Todd Carbonara, 29.

According to the criminal complaint, agents noticed dozens of files being shared online by a computer at Carbonara's Sycamore Street residence in Connellsville.

The charges state that at least three videos of minors, between 4 and 11 years old, engaged in graphic sexual activity, were downloaded from the defendant's computer.

Agents executed a search of Carbonara's residence and seized images and videos consisting of apparent child pornography on his computer and CDs, the attorney general said.

Carbonara is charged with four counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
