• Flames force 2 families from McKees Rocks apartments

McKEES ROCKS, Pa. - Flames forced two families out of an apartment building in McKees Rocks late Tuesday night.

Investigators said the fire started in a storage room of the Woodward Avenue building and quickly spread.

McKees Rocks fire chief Nick Radoycis said, “The fire originated on the first floor. We don't know where yet. It moved up to the second floor and into the roof and in the rafters. We were able to stop it at that point.”

Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson reported damage to the walls of the building and a hole through to the second floor.

The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced from their homes.

A fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
