Former Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Brad Penrod dies at 64

Former Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Bradley Penrod died Tuesday. He was 64.

Penrod, who lived in McDonald, had worked for Pittsburgh International Airport for 32 years, starting as an intern and then joining the operations team. He had been COO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority from April 1999 to October 2007 and became CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority in October 2007. He left the airport authority in March 2014.

“Needless to say, the airport became a second home for him, filled with friends who became more like family,” according to Penrod’s obituary published on Legacy.com.
