• Former rec official accused of having sex with teen faces new charges

SHARPSBURG, Pa. - A Sharpsburg woman facing sexual abuse charges after authorities said she had sex with a teen is now facing a theft charge.

According to police, Susan Sundo is accused of spending thousands of dollars on an Aspinwall Youth Athletic Association debit card.

“There are some allegations on misuse of a debit card. Certainly that’s something we will be addressing before the court as well,” Sundo’s attorney David Shrager said Wednesday after Sundo’s court appearance.

Shrager said the theft charge isn’t related to the other charges. He said he’s working to show Sundo had permission to use the debit card.

“This has been very difficult on her. The main thing is she’s concerned on how it’s affecting her family. She has children and this is difficult for them to understand,” Shrager said. “She’s trying to spend as much time with her children.”
