Fundraiser held for Uniontown boy recovering from brain injury

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A local community came together Sunday to help a young boy who suffered a serious brain injury.

A fundraiser was held at the American Legion in Uniontown to raise money for 21-month-old Chase Hay.

Chase has been in the hospital since suffering the injury, and the money raised will help with expenses once he returns home.

“We’ve had a great outpouring from the community helping us. They’ve been very generous. Everybody we’ve gone to has known about this from the news and newspapers, and they’ve all been helpful. Everyone has donated and everyone has supported us,” organizer Robin Stefan said.

A vigil was also held to pray for Chase’s recovery.
