Hazmat crews called to scene of tractor-trailer crash on Rt. 8 in Shaler

SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 8 in Glenshaw prompted a Hazmat response Friday afternoon.

Emergency officials said an accident involving the truck and a car happened near Glenshaw Glass.

Initial reports indicate that the truck leaked fluid and fuel onto the roads, which has runoff into a nearby stream.

Dispatchers said at least one person was hurt. So far, there is no reports on the woman’s condition.
