• House catches fire in Wilkinsburg with woman, 2 children inside

    WILKINSBURG, Pa. - A woman and two children were inside a home that caught fire in Wilkinsburg Sunday afternoon.

    Emergency dispatchers said the call came in just after 12:30 p.m. for a house fire on Swissvale Avenue.

    The woman and two children got out safely, but there appears to be extensive damage to the interior of the house, according to authorities.

    The Red Cross said it is assisting the victims of the fire with food, clothing and shelter.
