Indicator light in cockpit forces plane to make emergency landing in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — A U.S. Airways plane made an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon at Pittsburgh International Airport.

Officials said Flight 3140 from Washington to Minneapolis was diverted to Pittsburgh when an indicator light came on in the cockpit.

About 80 passengers got off the plane, but they were allowed back on and continued to Minneapolis after it was determined the problem was caused by a faulty indicator light.
