‘Karissa's Army' remembers young woman brutally killed 2 years ago

PITTSBURGH — Loved ones celebrated the life of a young woman who was brutally killed two years ago.

A candlelight vigil was held by Karissa's Army to remember Karissa Kunco on Thursday night.

Kunco was found dead in a Washington County field in January 2012.

The district attorney said Kunco's ex-boyfriend, Jordan Clemons, is responsible for her death.

Investigators said Clemons used her credit card to buy an Xbox after she died.

Crowds of people celebrated what would have been Kunco's 24th birthday.

No trial date has been set for her accused killer.

Friends Channel 11 spoke with said they're just looking for an end to this painful situation.

"There's no closure.  We need to know that he will be punished.  She doesn't get to live.  He does," said Jeanne Brown.

Karissa's Army members said they are trying to put a stop to domestic violence.

Clemons remains in the Washington County Jail.
