Legally deaf woman reported missing in McKeesport

McKEESPORT, Pa. — Authorities in McKeesport are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 42-year-old woman who is legally deaf.

According to McKeesport police Capt. Timothy Hanna, Goldie Himes left Dravosburg on Saturday around 5 p.m. after visiting a friend.

She stopped at her mother’s house and then was believed to be traveling back to her residence in Freeport, Armstrong County, according to police.

When she didn't arrive home, Himes’ husband, who is also legally deaf, started sending messages via computer to his wife's mother.

Himes’ mother said she didn’t check her computer until Monday, when she reported her missing.

Investigators said Himes was driving a 1993 dark red Saturn hatchback wagon with a Pennsylvania license plate JBJ-2395.

Anyone with information on Himes’ whereabouts is asked to contact the McKeesport Police Department at 412-675-5015.
