    Updated:

PITTSBURGH - Severe Weather Team 11 Chief Meteorologist Stephen Cropper said light snow fell throughout much of the Channel 11 viewing area Wednesday night.

Cropper said air temperatures were above freezing, but slick spots on the roads were created by the precipitation.

Less than 1 inch of snow is expected in the Pittsburgh area by Thursday morning, with 2-4 inches possible in the ridges of Garrett and Preston counties.

Thursday is expected to be milder, with a high temperature of 45 degrees.
