WINDBER BOROUGH, Pa. — Police have charged a man in the fatal shooting of a woman in Windber Borough, Somerset County.
The shooting happened shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday at an apartment on 19th Street.
According to police, Caressa Kovalcik, 23, was shot and killed inside the apartment she shared with Denver Blough and their 11-month-old son.
Blough, 25, is accused of shooting Kovalcik, police said. He is facing charges that include criminal homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
