Police: Man arrested after harassing female neighbor, fighting with off-duty cop

PITTSBURGH — A man is facing several charges after police said he harassed a female neighbor and then fought with an off-duty Braddock police officer.

Authorities said Clinton Keller, 26, knocked on a neighbor's door Wednesday and asked if she was interested in tattoos.

When the woman refused, Keller reached for the door handle, and the woman slammed the door shut and told him to leave, police said.

"For some reason, he walked across the street and started talking to the lady and kind of caught her off guard," a neighbor told Channel 11 News.

According to police, when Keller wouldn't leave, the woman called an off-duty Braddock police officer who lives on her street. She also called 911.

Investigators said Keller began yelling obscenities and ran towards the officer. The two then starting fighting and rolled down a hillside.

By the time police arrived, the off-duty officer had Keller subdued, and he was arrested, they said.

"I was surprised how things escalated from that point to the cop wrestling with him and all of the other cops showing up," the neighbor said.

Keller is facing aggravated assault, public drunkenness, harassment and trespassing charges. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
