Man dies in car crash on I-376 near Center

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A man died after being thrown from his sports utility vehicle early Sunday morning.

State police said 37-year-old Michael McCracken veered off Interstate 376 near Beaver Valley and into a grass median near the Center exit at about 1:20 a.m.

The vehicle rolled over several times after McCracken drove across the off-ramp lane, investigators said.

Police said McCracken wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and the impact of the crash caused him to be thrown from his vehicle.

He was taken to Heritage Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The accident is under investigation.
