Man dies at hospital after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Elliott neighborhood

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A man died at a hospital after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Elliott neighborhood Saturday morning.

Pittsburgh Public Safety said officers were called out to the 1300 block of Lakewood Drive just after 4:30 a.m. for a multi-round ShotSpotter alert. Once at the scene, officers found the man suffering a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

On Tuesday night, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said that the victim, 41-year-old Carrington Keys, died from his injuries at the hospital a day later.

Investigators did not release any additional information.
