More than 6,000 kids were expected to participate in the Kids Marathon, the course for which began near PNC Park on West General Robinson Street and ended on the Boulevard of the Allies.

"I think it's pretty inspiring to, you know, see the city come together and families come together to do something, you know, that's really good for themselves," said parent Lyndsay Marx.

Pittsburgh will once again be filled with thousands of runners and spectators during Sunday's Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon and FedEx Ground Pittsburgh Marathon Relay.

Street closures will be in place for the duration of the weekend. [CLICK HERE for more information]
