• Latrobe arson investigation continues

LATROBE, Pa. - Police are working to determine who intentionally set a fire at a Latrobe business last week.

Massive flames damaged the Grub and Pub on Ligonier Street Thursday night and spread to vacant apartments above the bar.

The fire marshal on Friday determined that the fire was arson after finding accelerant at the scene.

Thursday’s fire was the second suspicious fire in two weeks in Latrobe, the fire chief said.

With other buildings in the city also containing vacant apartments, the fire chief told Channel 11 reporter Courtney Brennan that he is concerned that they could be the next target.

There is currently no suspect in the arson at Grub and Pub.
