• Mercer Boro home destroyed by flames


    MERCER BORO, Pa. - A house in Mercer County was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.

    Flames were reported about 3 a.m. on West Market Street in Mercer Boro.

    The family who lives in the house was not home when the fire occurred.

    Crews had to return to the scene about 8:30 a.m. when the fire rekindled.

    The cause of the fire has not been determined.
