MONONGAHELA, Pa. — A missing dog was successfully reunited with its owner Tuesday morning in Monongahela.

Police said Snoopy, a 6-year-old mixed breed, ran from her home in Monongahela on Sunday, and had been missing since.

On Tuesday morning, a resident of Market Street in Belle Vernon found Snoopy and brought her to the Southwestern Regional Police Department.

Officials at the police department were able to identify Snoopy’s owner as Ethel Turosik, and they notified her.

According to police, they were able to identify Snoopy’s owner by using a scanner that was obtained through a grant out of the state of California.
