• More than a dozen tires slashed in McKees Rocks

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. - More than a dozen people woke up Monday to find their tires slashed in one McKees Rocks neighborhood.

Channel 11’s Dave Bondy reported that the vandals targeted cars parked on Sarah and Holmes streets sometime during the early-morning hours.

Residents said they’re infuriated by the crime and inconvenience.

“That would be a knife blade right there because it’s about three-quarters of an inch wide,” said victim Joe Parrinello. “I’m very, very angry. But what can I do? There is nothing I can do. I just have to wait and see what happens, and insurance will cover part of it.”

McKees Rocks police said 19 cars were damaged.

“It’s just a rough neighborhood to live in anymore. I don’t know what happened to McKees Rocks, but it used to be nice. It’s just rough and going downhill now,” said resident Robby Bradwell.

So far, police have not said if they have identified any suspects.
