• Mother, child safely escape burning Knoxville building

    PITTSBURGH - A mother and her child were able to safely escape a house fire early Friday morning in Knoxville.

    Officials said the blaze started just before midnight at a building on Suncrest Street.

    According to firefighters, the flames started on the third floor of the building, and the woman and her child lived on the first floor.

    No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
