• Motorcyclist killed after flying over cliff in Westmoreland Co.

    WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. - One person was killed and another was hurt after a motorcycle went over a cliff in Westmoreland County Monday evening.

    Authorities said the motorcyclist was attempting to go around a sharp bend on Route 136 in West Newton when he went off the road.

    Scott Sparrow, 31, died. An unidentified female passenger was flown to a local hospital. Her name and condition were not released.
