Little girl dead, her sister injured after dresser falls on them

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — One little girl was killed and a second little girl was injured in a tragic accident Friday morning in Beaver County.

Police in Aliquippa told Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz that 2-year-old Brooklyn Beatty and her 3-year-old sister Ryeley were playing in a bedroom when a dresser fell on top of them.

The incident occurred inside their home on Irwin Street at approximately 11 a.m. Friday.

Rebecca Beatty, the girls' aunt, lives in the house next door. She ran to help shortly after the accident.

"I heard the father screaming, yelling" She said. "I rushed over, and because I'm a nurse, started CPR."

Brooklyn was pronounced dead that afternoon. As of late Friday evening, Ryeley was still hospitalized in critical condition.
