Pitt athlete named Co-ACC Wrestler of the Year, makes university history

PITTSBURGH — A Pitt athlete has just made university history by being named Co-ACC Wrestler of the Year.

Nino Bonaccorsi from Bethel Park won the award after going undefeated in his final collegiate season.

Bonaccorsi is the first Pitt wrestler to receive the award.

He is Pitt’s 17th national champion in the program’s history and joins Jake Wentzel as the only Pitt Panther to win a trio of individual conference championships in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
